Abstract

What happens when representation becomes architecture? Representation was vital to both the formation and conveyance of a new architecture. Nowhere is this more evident than in the oeuvre of Le Corbusier. The pavilion, initially dismissed by Le Corbusier, ultimately proved his second most popular building type.
