Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine trends in the composition of seed banks due to geographic location and duration of drainage and cultivation and to estimate the role of relict seed banks in restorations. Drained and undrained prairie wetlands in central Iowa, west central Minnesota, and central North Dakota provided a variety of sites distributed over a broad geographic area.
