Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify what type of nutrition information college students find important to appear on restaurant menus when making their selections. It is investigated whether the provision of calorie and macronutrient level information; specific vitamin and nutrient information; or health claims are important to the college consumer. It is also examined whether these types of nutrition information influences college students' intent to purchase food items.
