The time of posers and fakes is in the past. You’re in college now and can be whoever or whatever you want to be. College is not the place for you to hide—it’s a chance for experimentation and trying new things. Life is too short to pretend to be something you’re not. It’s OK for you to play complex card games on nights when all of your friends are at the basketball game. It’s OK to obsess over your favorite arachnids, even though your friends might cringe at the thought of them— although there’s no guaranteeing their safety if they break out of their cage.
