Abstract

Progress in endocrinological and physiological research is enabling scientists to control the reproductive processes of animals. This will surely have a profound influence on the veterinary profession. As agriculture becomes more mechanized and computerized, it is essential that livestock production becomes more efficient so that animal products can continue to compete as sources of human food.
