Abstract
It is not the intention of the authors to present a definitive history of the college in these pages. A history of this type is being written by a centennial committee of faculty members and the college staff. Instead, we have attempted to show a more human view of the college during its past one-hundred years: the people, events, and ideas that have been a part of the college during this time.
