Abstract

Two veterinary students and one professor from the ISU College of Veterinary Medicine were called to active duty in November of 1990, during the Middle East crisis. David Oelberg and Jennifer Noblett were both well into the first semester of their junior year, while Dr. Kenneth Platt was in Bangkok, Thailand working on aU.N. sponsored proposal, when they received notification that their units had been alerted. Their assignments were as follows.
