Abstract
The staff of the ISU Veterinarian would like to formally introduce our new faculty advisor, Dr. Mark R. Ackermann. Dr. Ackermann has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Pathology at Iowa State since 1996. He was collaborative assistant professor for the department from 1992-1996 when he worked at the USDAN ationalAnimal Disease Center (1986-1996) in Ames, Iowa. Beside helping with the ISU Veterinarian, Dr. Ackermann has developed a research program in respiratory diseases. His main area of interest is in acute inflammation during the onset of pneumonia.
