Abstract

Grassland birds may be attracted to filter strips for nesting. This project explores what qualities might be incorporated into filter strips to make them more effective as bird habitat and nesting sites.

Key Question

What is the potential for CRP (filter strips in particular) to provide wildlife habitat in addition to protecting soil and water resources?

Findings

The CRP is a valuable conservation tool for both
