A Tax Court case, Rainbow Tax Services, Inc. v. Commissioner,1 decided March 8, 2007, has broadened the “personal service corporation” rules to include tax return preparation and bookkeeping services.2 That is a major development for non-CPA accountants who are practicing as a corporation.
