Relatively few and scattered published reports dealing with fungi on Selaginella exist in the literature. A perusal of available publications disclosed 26 species observed on this host, as compared with at least 40 on the fairly closely related, more conspicuous, genus Lycopodium. The information gleaned regarding the fungi on Selaginella is summarized in the following alphabetical list2).
