Abstract

If uncertainty is a keynote of our time, then it must have been particularly true for agriculture in the winter of 1967-68 when this seminar was held. It is the keynote of the opening remarks by an excellent Iowa farmer, who sympathetically expresses the disillusionment of those who had expected a quick return to the "good old days" of agriculture.
