I imagine that roost of you would agree that it is a very difficult task to conclude what the military services--the Army, Navy and Air Force--have established as their major NDE requirements toward which research projects could be focussed. What we are going to try to do in the next few minutes, then, is present a short view of what, in our best judgement, these requirements are and what are the long range capabilities that we would like to see developed. We hope that by doing this, you will get a better picture of the key NDE research objectives within the DoD.
