Abstract

Corn earwonn (Heliothis zea-Boddie) is one of the most destructive pests of soybeans (Glycine max [L.] Merrill). It feeds on foliage as well as developing pods. Each larva is capable of damaging 6 to 8.2 pods or 7.1 seeds between 4th to 6th instar (both inclusive) (Boldt et al., 1975; Smith and Bass, 1972).
