Abstract

Primary trisomics are useful for locating genes and linkage groups on specific chromosomes through the modification of genetic ratios by the extra chromosome. They also are useful in studying the phenotype and biochemical effects of individual chromosomes. Three primary trisomics (Palmer, 1976) were used in attempts to locate mutants to one of these chromosomes.
