Abstract
Countries have decided to cease the wide-spread of coronavirus disease (COVID 19) by restricting travel and in-person commercial activities. The effects of lockdown scenarios and the global trade modelling framework is a thing to explore and analyze. The supply-chain losses that are related to the initial lockdowns are mostly due to a lot of countries imposing restrictions and the duration of the lockdown that came into effect because of the disease being so infectious. However, a long-term containment is proposed to eradicate the disease that might impose a smaller loss than shorter ones. Stricter and shorter lockdowns also can help in minimizing the overall loss for most countries. Although the strategies are favorable, the complexity of global supply chains will create losses beyond the direct effects of Covid-19. Thus, a pandemic control strategy is a good idea to control the effects of such consequences.
