Abstract

Feed-grain prices will be higher in late 1961. Reason: Higher support rates on feed grains coupled with a sizable cut in grain output. Supplies of feed grain available for feeding during the coming year will be about the same as in the year just ending. Increased sales of CCC grains from government stocks will offset the production cutback. Prospects are for a slightly small 1962 output of poultry, with more hogs and about the same number of cattle being fed out. Fed-grain carryover on Oct, 1, 1963, probably will be reduced 12-15 million tons.
