Toxic Cleanup Days are held periodically across the state to give residents an opportunity to properly dispose of waste materials that are hazardous or prohibited during normal trash collections. They are jointly sponsored and funded by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and local agencies in the counties where the events are being held. Residents in five Iowa counties will be able to dispose of certain hazardous waste materials during Toxic Cleanup Days scheduled this fall.
