Abstract
Nineteen eighty-nine was year of change for the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University. Dr. Philip Pearson resigned as Dean and returned to teaching, research, and service duties in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences. Dr. Oscar Fletcher from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia assumed the duties of Dean of the College effective July 1. Dean Fletcher has attended many national, state and local functions since that time and has actively supported the alumni and outreach programs of the College.
