Angelman syndrome (AS) is a neurodevelopmental disorder first described by Harry Angelman in 1965 . Incidence of the disease is estimated to be between 1 and 4 in 40,000, with an estimated morbidity rate of 1 in 15,000 [5, 8]. 50% of cases of the disease are initially misdiagnosed, therefore incidence rates may be higher than current estimates
