Abstract

An educational technology portfolio was completed as a creative component project to meet the requirement for the educational technology masters program in the School of Education at Iowa State University. Artifacts included in this portfolio were aligned to the program’s standards of: 1) technology planning and integration, 2) Digital citizenship, 3) Research and assessment, and 4) visionary leadership. Several versions of a blended learning course, as well as a certificate of completion in a Flipped and Blended learning cohort highlight my learning for technology planning and integration. For the digital citizenship standard, a resource that could be used either in a flipped or blended learning environment is used to show mastery. The artifact for research and assessment is not linked due to policy changes. My alternatively submitted artifact highlighted research on the use of technology tools that reach higher order thinking skills, in addition to looking at supports teachers have when integrating such tools in the classroom. Lastly, several presentations are artifacts to demonstrate mastery in visionary leadership.
