Abstract

Genetic engineering and GM crops have the potential to be important instruments for genetic improvement and meeting future agronomic challenges. Given this potential and the controversy and reluctance to accepting and incorporating GM material into agronomic systems, barriers to GM adoption need to be identified. This creative component sought to define GMO, identify barriers to GM adoption, and identify potential routes towards greater GM acceptance.
