Abstract
Plan to attend the 2000 Water Quality Conference "Agriculture and the Environment: A Wake-Up Call for Iowans" on March 7-8. It will address federal and state nonpoint source pollution policies that could potentially impact land management in agricultural watersheds. Specific topics will focus on total maximum daily loads, nutrient criteria, animal feeding operations, and source water protection. The conference will be held at the Scheman Building, Iowa State University, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on March 7 and from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on March 8. Poster displays are welcome. The Web site at extension.agron.iastate.edu/aged/water_quality/wqconf.html has information on last year's conference and information on this year's conference will be added as it becomes available.
