Abstract
The investigation delves into material/immaterial practices in the context of a former military base in the production of a School of Metaphysics and a Waiting Room to be located on the North/Western side of Governors Island (a 172-acre island in Upper New York Bay, approximately 800 yards from the southern tip of Manhattan Island) looking out toward lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. The island is a popular and visible seasonal destination for hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers offering a diverse and eclectic array of art and culture, recreation and relaxation.
