Abstract

I present a study of the symbiotic binary system R Aqr using a personally created database from the papers available on NASA's ADS and my attempt in understanding R Aqr's mysterious jet. Three different models are often used to describe this model: the parcel model, the accretion disk model, and the collision of winds model. The results of this paper show the best model thus far to fit this system by using model comparison and image analysis of HST images.
