Abstract

Improvements in the perception of software quality among end-users can lead to better job performance and quality of work, which are needed in the agriculture industry. Therefore, a study on the perception of software quality in an agriculture company is recommended. The first part of this study investigates a method for software quality evaluation among end-users. The second part of this quantitative study investigates end-users’ perception of software quality in an agriculture company and what differences, if any, exist in the erception of software quality among users from different departments. Furthermore, the study investigates what differences exist, if any, in the perception of software quality among users of different software and discovers a correlation between users’ experience and perception of software quality.

Based on the quantitative evaluation of the end-user subjective perception of software quality, statistically significant differences were found in the perception of the quality of the same software among users from different departments. Furthermore, statistically significant

differences were found in the perception of different software within the same department. Correlation analysis revealed a moderate positive relationship between years of experience and a higher perceived quality of software by the user. The results of the study can be used to advise departments where the research was conducted on software quality improvement initiatives.
