Abstract
In 2020, Iowa State University interviewed 135 rural Latinx immigrant parents (92% mothers) across fiverural Iowa communities to learn about their awareness of COVID-19, actions they took to prevent spread of COVID-19, and aspects of their health and wellbeing. Parents on average were 41 years of age, had lived inthe U.S. 21 years, and had households incomes of $22,654. The majority (75%) were married or partneredand had a high school diploma/GED or fewer years of education (83%), and 51% were employed.
