Description

This project explores communication and collaboration within the Bondurant community. The visioning process helps community members envision goals for small town enhancements and strategize how to implement them. The planning process involves four stages: program initiation, needs and goal setting, development of a concept plan, and implementation and sustained action. Through analysis, community tours, and site visits I worked on designing solutions for the goals and priority areas determined by the steering committee. These ideas, illustrated in plan and perspective drawings, work together to demonstrate the potential for Bondurant’s community in a way understandable to non-designers. Community members, practitioners, and I learned and designed together. I will be sharing drawings, photographs and documentation of our efforts. This process taught me the power of community visioning and what is possible when groups of people come together for a common cause.
