Abstract

This year will not be one that was widely remembered for its insect problems. Crop injury was caused by a variety of pests but the problems were often isolated in an area or occurred on a small scale across the state. Five com pests have been selected to highlight some of the 1993 problems: second generation European com borer, com rootworms, armyworm, com root aphid, and slugs.
