Abstract

Although the growth regulator herbicides (2,4-D; dicamba, etc.) were responsible for ushering in the chemical era of weed control in the late 1940’s, it was the introduction of the triazine, dinitroaniline and amide herbicides that transformed weed control in corn and soybean.
