Abstract

Infectious enterotoxemia is an acute, highly fatal toxemia of sheep, which is produced by the anaerobic bacillus, Clostridium perfringens (Clostridium welchii) type D, and is characterized by sudden prostration and congestion of the abomasum and small intestine.
