The goat is one of the most fertile species among our domestic animals. Usually there are no problems with the matings and conception rate is very high, 96-98%. Birth and delivery are simple events in the goat and usually no problems arise. Now and then, however, the goat is in need of obstetrical help and in such instances it is often found that the problem is greater than in cases with sheep.
