Abstract
The student chapter of the Association of Avian Veterinarians has maintained a nursery for the last three years where students have had the opportunity to help hand raise many species of psittacine birds. These include lovebirds, cockatiels, ringneck and moustache parakeets, as well as the larger amazon parrots, cockatoos, and macaws.
