Abstract

The motorsports industry has exploded into a global phenomenon attracting both male and female fans and drivers. Both men and women compete in the same locations and on the same tracks. Different gender bodies perform differently. However, most professional organizations approved suits are unisex and made to fit the male body. Female drivers need "ready-to-wear" racing suits, which are made to fit the female form. The goal of this research is to determine if female drivers are satisfied with the current racing suits. A non-experimental cross sectional survey was built based on the Function Expression Aesthetic (FEA) consumer needs model. Total of 74 surveys were effective and the collected data was analyzed by SPSS. Results showed female race have better satisfaction to some what altered suits. Their satisfaction with current suits in Functional aspects, especially in comfort and fit satisfaction, significantly impacted their overall satisfaction, not like Expression and Aesthetic satisfaction.
