We reprint an essay by Aldo Leopold written in 1935 that resonates yet today, "Coon Valley: An Adventure in Cooperative Conservation." The Local Foods Program features two important projects: the prison garden at the Iowa Institution for Women in Mitchellville and the Donation Garden project at ISU research farms across the state.
