The Department of Political Science seeks to provide students with an understanding of the nature of politics, political institutions and processes, and public values, focusing on four areas: American Government, International Relations, Political Theory and Method, and Comparative Politics.
The Department of Political Science was formed in 1969 from the division of the Department of History, Government, and Philosophy.
