In this dissertation a mathematical approach to model the rheological behavior of fresh cement based materials were completed. A direct shear model of coarse granular material, a yield stress model of cement paste, a shear failure behavior of fresh mortars, and a particle-fluid model for flowing mortar were developed. The model predictions of rheological behavior of cement based materials are in good consistent with the experimental results.
