In this collection of stories, movement and action are not central. Rather, it is in the subversion, evolution, progression of images that allows these stories to ebb and flow. They move forward only to step back, ever seeking, and ever-questioning the meaning of singular objects, words and phrases. It is the absence of definite meaning binding them together, all in a search to claim, to cling an image, be it a guitar, a mud-pie, a coat, or some small thought only to realize what was professed, clutched, manipulated, contemplated, is already lost.
