Abstract

This work is an exploration of the various elements of bias which have occurred in some of the works which have examined the life and long-term influence of Jan Hus and his writings. By necessity, the work first takes a shortened biographical approach, followed by an examination of a number of texts in light of that biography, with the intent of examining them for historical bias, and by so doing, aiding the reader in being aware of bias in other historical explorations. The work further explores broad survey form texts, in an examination of how they deal with pre-reformation elements in Europe, again with the intent of providing the reader with an examination of historical bias, not only in the presentation of material, but in the choice of material presented.
