A study of the virtual reactions (pi)('+)(pi)('-) (--->) K('+)K('-) and (pi)('+)(pi)('0) (--->)K('+)K('-)(pi)('+) has been performed using the Large Aperture SolenoidSpectrometer (LASS) at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. Amoment analysis of the K('+)K('-) and K('+)K('-)(pi)('+) systems is presented,yielding information on the leading natural spin-parity resonancestates. The well-established states f(1270), f'(1515), and g(1700)are observed, and evidence is presented for a new state with J('p) =;7('-) in the K('+)K('-)(pi)('+) system at a mass of 2720 MeV.;*USDOE Report IS-T-1010.
