Soybean is a unique dual-purpose leguminous crop containing high quantity of protein (40%) along with sufficient (20%) extractable edible oil. Its nutritive value is very highly suited for versatile industrial uses. Its increasing industrial exploitation also has led to the manufacture of a large number of antibiotics in our country.
