The U.S. Latino/a Studies Program is devoted to the study of Mexican Americans, Puerto Rican Americans, Cuban Americans, Dominican Americans, and Central and South Americans living in the United States who trace their ancestry to the Spanish-speaking countries of Latin America. Latino/as are the largest and fastest growing culturally diverse population in the United States, and the US LS draws from history, sociology, psychology, political science, economics, and other academic fields to aid our students’ understanding of these peoples.
